Alex Cataford, B.E.Sc.
Managing Partner
Alex Cataford is a Managing Partner at Bluescape, experienced in leading projects as Construction Manager for high-rise condominiums from 8-storeys to 50+ storeys throughout Toronto. A graduate of Civil/Structural Engineering from Western University, with five years of experience on the design consulting side, Alex joined Bluescape in 2011 to bring his expertise in design and construction to projects from Pre to Post Construction. An excellent communicator and skilled leader, Alex provides overall guidance and planning for Bluescape’s project teams, works closely with the client throughout the project, and leverages his expertise to benefit the project during procurement and project execution.
Jane Almey, B.E.Sc.
Managing Partner
Jane Almey is a Managing Partner at Bluescape. Extensively experienced with low, mid, and high-rise residential construction projects throughout Toronto and a graduate of University of Waterloo in Civil Engineering, Jane's knowledge and technical experience allows her to lead Bluescape’s project teams from Pre Construction to project completion, providing strategic planning and mentorship. Jane brings a collaborative approach to client relationships, successfully delivering some of Bluescape’s most unique projects. She has had an instrumental role as Managing Partner for the renowned Reina development, the first condominium in Canada to be fully inspired, designed, and implemented by an all-women team.
Robert Kirwan, M.Sc.
Managing Partner
Rob Kirwan is a Managing Partner at Bluescape with more than fifteen years of experience in construction management, with the majority of those years in high-rise condominiums. Having graduated with a Master of Science in Construction and Project Management, Rob’s extensive on-site experience includes the management of projects in Dublin, London UK, and across Toronto. He is skilled at leading complex projects from concept to completion, directing trade-contract procurement processes, and providing his expertise during project execution to the overall project team. Rob has been responsible for delivering some of Bluescape's most prominent projects, including the conversion of the Toronto Waterworks into a luxury mixed-use development. He provides oversight of operations on all Bluescape projects, applying his exceptional communication, leadership, and decision-making skills to ensure the delivery of consistently successful project outcomes.
Shane Murphy, M.Sc.
Managing Partner
Shane Murphy is a Managing Partner at Bluescape with more than ten years of experience delivering large-scale high-rise condominiums. Drawing on experience leading projects as Construction Manager and on the client/developer side, Shane’s unique understanding of the complexities of high-rise project delivery benefit every Bluescape project. Holding a master’s degree in Construction and Project Management, Shane is skilled at managing client relationships and providing effective leadership for both the Bluescape project team and sub-trade relationships. Shane leads continuous improvement of Bluescape’s processes and systems collaborative approach to communication and skill in guiding diverse teams continues to elevate Bluescape’s project delivery.
Tim Otten, B.A.Sc.
Managing Partner
Tim Otten is a Managing Partner at Bluescape. Joining the firm in 2008 and leading the 5-year, four-phase River City development from concept to completion, Tim’s expertise combines skilled leadership and project management with an extensive technical understanding of construction approaches and methods. A graduate of Civil Engineering and holding a certificate in Structural Engineering from University of Waterloo, Tim draws on past experience delivering projects with some of Toronto’s largest design firms and general contractors, as well as more than fifteen years of experience leading projects in a construction management capacity. From Pre-Construction planning to project execution, Tim works closely with clients, trades, and Bluescape’s project team to lead clear and consistent communication and knowledgeable project planning for a successful project delivery.
