Completed in 2014, Market Wharf Condominium is located directly south of Toronto’s St. Lawrence Market. The joint structure consists of a 34-storey glass and steel tower that rises from an 8-storey brick podium. The tower features curvilinear fritted white glass balconies: east and west facing balconies appear wave-like and north and south facing balconies are jagged and staggered. The mixed-use building features retail units on the ground floor and above-grade parking (floors 2 to 5 and parking at grade). The podium contains a central courtyard with a raised planting bed and exterior terraces that branch off into double-floor townhouse suites. Amenities include a fitness centre, yoga and Pilates studio, sauna, boardroom, and guest suites. A large public art component is displayed in the ground floor driveway, consisting of a light installation in the ceiling that creates a water-like appearance.
