Project Overview
River City 4 is part of a four-phase development located in Toronto’s Corktown neighbourhood. Originally an abandoned industrial area, the River City community was the first development to kickstart the revitalization of the West Don Lands. Urban Capital, partnered with Montreal-based Saucier + Perrotte Architects, conceived the development of the new community as part of a design competition. The River City community has been the recipient of multiple awards, including an OAA Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Excellence and the Toronto Urban Design Award of Merit. All buildings are LEED Gold certified.
River City 4 is a uniquely designed building of pentagonal shapes, reflecting the five sides of the site itself. Containing 13-storeys, 158 units, 3 levels of below grade parking, and ground floor retail, this condominium is the latest installment to the River City community development. River City 4 is also known as Harris Square, in reference to its location on Lawren Harris Square, a new street named after the Group of Seven painter.
