Project Overview
Combining old Toronto with a new approach to urban spaces, Waterworks is a stunning display of a modern condominium development sitting atop Toronto’s historical water utilities building. The mixed-use development, located in the city’s ‘Garment District’ at Richmond Street West and Spadina, is connected to St. Andrew’s Park and Playground and features a fully outfitted YMCA on the ground, 2nd, and 3rd floors.
The Waterworks development contains 14-storeys and 290 units, with 4 levels of below grade parking. Building amenities include a gym, party room, lounge, private dining areas, outdoor patio area, and rooftop terrace. In addition, the ground floor of the building contains the ‘Food Hall’ – a European-style eatery that has been converted from the original 1930s water utilities building. An old Gantry crane from the existing building was refurbished and reinstalled in commemoration of the original building. Also reminiscent, the exterior façade of the ground, 2nd and 3rd floors preserves the architectural look and feel of the industrial past.
